I have to agree that the second leads (with the exception of Hoon Dong, he’s such dork) didn’t contribute as much as to the awesomeness of this series but the families made up for them esp GT’s mom. Yay, the three women being together forget dad, girl power FTW. But the best thing about this entire show has always been the focus on family.
What an absolutely delightful show. Oh, I must also thank whoever did the sound effects in this show. I still can’t believe that this drama is over. Been playing the OSTs over and over again. Thank you for adding this to your workload. Honestly, imo, it’s some of the worst acting i have ever seen.

Still, Hyun-hee is flirting in her own way, and smiles when he buys a bunch of wallets to contribute to the charity auction. Jang-mi gets a text that suddenly sends her reaching for a bottle of soju, and to her parents’ shock, she downs the whole bottle in one go. She shows up at Hoon-dong’s restaurant drunk, and gulps down another beer.
Marriage Not Dating Episode 4
Loved how Ki-tae’s mom stands up for Jang-Mi at the wedding by telling the in-laws that dad’s stupid gf can now do those duties she used to do, and definitely not Jang-mi! Yeon Woo Jin is so damn charming in the show, so much so that I wanna get a Ki-tae myself. Han Groo did a great job as Jang-mi too. Her movements are always so dramatic yet still somewhat natural at the same time. Looking forward to see her future projects for sure. And yay for a show that uses more than the main leads in an effective way.
He’s obviously a playboy but now I can see why she would think he loved her and even thought of proposing marriage. She cries and thinks that he must have at least cared for her. Hoon Dong isn’t far away, in fact, he’s the mystery man that Jang Mi has been waiting for. Jang Mi receives him with a rose in her mouth and calls him oppa. He obviously has other plans in mind until he looks at the room and realizes that Jang Mi is about to do the very thing he fears the most, ask him to get married. Of course he does what any mature man would do in that situation, he hides in the bathroom and calls Gi Tae for help.
The smart-mouthed wit goes a long way in making his demeanor less jerky, since half the time I’m laughing at the comeback he’s got whipped up, and not thinking that it’s rude (even though it often is). And most of all, I like that he often doesn’t get his way, despite all his blustering https://legitdatingsites.com/ about knowing exactly how to work people. She doesn’t see what’s wrong with wanting to be loved, and tells him to be nicer to his mother, who clearly wants his love. She says that as soon as she gets her revenge, she’s done with him, because she dislikes everything about his attitude.
Would it have killed Se Ah to have added “with my boyfriend/fiance/husband” to her pregnancy news, or is vague just her thing? I was relieved Show didn’t go down the cliche path of Jang Mi being pregnant when she threw up because I did not want a child to be a factor in his marriage proposal. I agree that both leads really gave their best in their roles…and I’m a real fan of them now. Hopefully they will move on to bigger and better projects. Thing is I feel that cable sometimes used lesser known actors who doesn’t command the same buzz but somehow produces better results.
Hoon Dong actually runs and hides in the bathroom while calling the police to report his stalker. Gi Tae tries to calm her down but instead gets hit in the face by the bottle. Gi Tae goes to talks with Hoon Dong at his café and seriously tells him to meet with Jang Mi and to directly tell her that it’s over. You’re a jerk, but at least you’re a good man! Just as Hoon Dong tells Gi Tae that Jang Mi won’t ever show up again, we have a very drunk Jang Mi stumbling through his doors. She downs a beer right in front of the boys, who seem to be breaking a sweat, and now having some (more) liquid courage running through her, she chases Hoon Dong down with the glass bottle in her hand.
I understood the rest of the characters, I felt like they were real people, and then there was Ken and Barbie. The Angriest Groom Ever stomps down the aisle, and Jang-mi doesn’t look much happier as her father escorts her to him. Ki-tae refuses to look at her which makes things worse, so that when it’s time for Ki-tae to take over from her father, she refuses to take his arm. In front of everyone, Jang-mi demands to know if Ki-tae’s hiding anything from her. An upset Jang-mi asks if Ki-tae gave Se-ah a baby, but he’s too offended by the question to even answer. He counters by asking why she gave Yeo-reum money, and she says it’s business and takes offense in turn at his suspicion.
The latest trouble is because Mom worries that her parents’ bar will make Jang-mi look bad to her restaurateur boyfriend. After three days of “submersion,” aka disappearing and cutting off contact, Hoon-dong thinks it’s safe to turn on his phone. But as soon as he does, it rings again, and he finds over 300 calls from Jang-mi. He’s a new tenant in Hoon-dong’s commercial building (or really, his mother’s building), and Hoon-dong finally agrees to give his clinic free rent for three years. She calls her boyfriend, and we see a call go unanswered in a plastic surgeon’s office.
Each episode seems to uncover more layers of each person, they are not just static robots playing roles that never change. Every episode the mom gets revealed more and more, and with each episode she seems more vulnerable. I highly suspect that mom does not really dislike JM – she is jealous how JM can be so free wheeling while she keeps everything bottled up for appearances sake. She sees now that he was never truly sorry to begin with, and Hoon-dong just breezes that he thought they could be friends. She tells him that she doesn’t want to be friends or see him ever again, because her feelings for him were sincere and the more she knows of him, the more embarrassing that sincerity becomes.
Se-ah and Yeo-rum I cared for even less except for during the beach escapade. I thought at that point they might have an interesting friendship between all of them but after that unfortunately things went back to square one. It might be the writing, the acting or a combination of both but they have not added anything aside from being plot devices. Putting that weakness aside there are many things I loved about the show.
‘ but overall, this was a very good drama and one that I don’t have much to complain about. What’s better is that I didn’t have a lot of expectations going into this but ended up taking a lot out of. I’m just so happy that this show remained true to itself until the end. And that they weren’t afraid to show the OTP kissing and touching like any normal couple (thanks cable!). Appreciate your comments and insights LOllypip and GF. I am still battling the tears as this show has come to an end and also the family relationships it has explored and unraveled.
